Schools and Projects

Al-Hikma Foundation is a community and educational institution driven by Islamic principles. We take pride in providing quality education and social services to the community. We recognize the importance of education as a transformative tool, which is why we are dedicated to establishing and managing various schools and community projects that make a difference for people of all ages.

i. Nursery School (Al-Hikma Nursery School)

Al-Hikma Nursery School is an early childhood education institution focused on providing quality learning for children between the ages of 3 and 6. The school is located in Mwembeyanga, Temeke, Dar es Salaam, and offers an Islamic-centered curriculum that incorporates values, manners, and basic academic skills. The school is registered with the number DS.03/7/026.

ii. Primary School (Al-Hikma Primary School)

Al-Hikma Primary School is a primary school offering education from Standard One to Standard Seven. It is also located in Mwembeyanga, Temeke, Dar es Salaam, and is committed to providing high-quality education to children from Islamic families and the community at large. The school is proud of its excellent learning environment and highly qualified teachers. It is registered with the number DS.03/7/026.

iii. Boys' Secondary School (Al-Hikma Boys Secondary School)

This secondary school is for boys only and provides education from Form One to Form Four (O-Level). Located in Mikwambe, Toangoma, Temeke District, Dar es Salaam, the school offers a boarding environment with a focus on academic excellence, discipline, and personal development. It aims to shape boys into responsible, principled, and self-disciplined individuals. The school is registered with the number S.4714.

iv. Girls' Secondary School (Al-Hikma Girls Secondary School)

Al-Hikma Girls Secondary School is for girls only and offers day classes from Form One to Form Four. The school is located in Mwembeyanga, Temeke, Dar es Salaam. The school focuses on providing quality education in an Islamic environment, empowering young girls with academic knowledge and life skills that enable them to contribute to society. It is registered with the number S.560.

v. Al-Hikma Madressa

Al-Hikma Foundation also operates a religious education department through Al-Hikma Madressa. This department provides Islamic education for both male and female students, following the Qur'aan and Sunnah curriculum. The Madressa also offers additional courses in subjects like English and Computer Science. The Madressa is located in Temeke, Vetenari area.

vi. Orphan Care Department

The Orphan Care Department is dedicated to supporting orphaned students by offering them sponsorship for their education, including school fees, notebooks, textbooks, and uniforms until they complete their studies. This department aims to remove financial barriers and provide these children with quality education and a better future.

vii. Da'wah (Propagation of Islam) Department

The Da'wah Department is responsible for spreading the teachings of Islam with wisdom and understanding. The department has educators who travel around Tanzania and other countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, and beyond. These educators offer services without any payment, with the goal of spreading Islam and promoting peace, love, and unity.

viii. Mosque Management Department

The Mosque Management Department oversees the religious activities in the mosques managed by Al-Hikma Foundation. This includes the administration of daily prayers, Jumu'ah (Friday prayers), Maulidi (religious gatherings), and other religious activities. The department is also responsible for ensuring that the mosques are maintained and that the spiritual needs of the community are met.

ix. Mosque Construction Department

The Mosque Construction Department is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing mosque construction projects in areas that need such facilities. To date, Al-Hikma Foundation has built numerous mosques and continues to work on expanding its efforts in building mosques across various regions of Tanzania. The department aims to provide the community with access to places of worship.

x. Qur'aan Memorization Department

This department is one of the key branches of Al-Hikma Foundation. It provides an opportunity for both male and female students to learn and memorize the Holy Qur'aan. The department organizes annual Qur'aan memorization competitions, where winners receive prizes. These competitions have attracted participants from several African countries.

Al-Hikma Foundation's schools and projects continue to make a significant contribution to the community by providing high-quality education, social services, and promoting the teachings of Islam. We are committed to the ongoing development of these initiatives to reach more people and contribute to sustainable progress.
